What are the requirements for butt welding flange made of steel plate

1. Butt welding flange shall be subject to ultrasonic flaw detection without delamination defect;
2. It shall be cut into strips along the rolling direction of the steel, bent and butt welded to form a ring, and the surface of the steel shall form a cylindrical surface of the ring. It is not allowed to use steel plate directly machined into neck butt welding flange;
3. The butt weld of ring should be full penetration weld;
4. The butt weld of the ring shall be subject to post weld heat treatment, and shall be subject to comprehensive radiographic or ultrasonic testing. The radiographic testing shall meet the requirements of class II of JB4730, and the ultrasonic testing shall meet the requirements of class I of JB4730. Butt welding flange is suitable for pipelines with large fluctuation of pressure or temperature, or pipelines with high temperature, high pressure and low temperature. It is also used for pipelines conveying expensive, flammable and explosive media.
